Paramount+ has dropped a hefty amount of new content this year, including hit series returning with new seasons, and more are on the way. It’s exciting, I know. With so much in the mix, it’s easy to get overwhelmed when searching for something to watch. It’s also easy to lose sight of what’s relevant at the time of your search, and you want to be sure you’re up-to-date on the latest seasons of your favorite shows.

The Chi Season 7

A timely coming-of-age drama series, The Chi is back with its long-awaited season seven, and it’s a woman’s world. This season puts our female characters front and center as they assert their dominance and refuse to relinquish their power. Per the official synopsis, when one wins the crown, however, the other must accept the rivalries, backbiting, and lost friendships that come with it.

Alicia (Lynn Whitfield) starts a rampage on her mission to find her son’s killer. Nuck (Cortez Smith) reigns supreme as the new leader of the 63rd Street Mob. Fatima (L’lerrét Jazelle) gives Victor (Luke James) a heavy ultimatum, and Bakari (Ahmad Nicholas Ferguson) makes a high-priced deal to secure his future. His only worry: Was the cost worth it?

Ghosts Season 4

Ghosts is one of the funniest original comedy shows on television today. After three successful seasons, the hit series just finished its fourth season, and it went out with a big ole, bloody bang. Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) are still running their inherited B&B country estate, which is teeming with hilarious ghosts. While season four gives us more of the ghosts’ backstories, as well as Jay’s family backstory, it also introduces us to some newbies.

The newest season of Ghosts explores the disconnect in Sam and Jay’s marriage because he can’t see ghosts and is thus left out of conversations and inside jokes all the time. Additionally, Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) resurfaces and becomes the subject of a vampire fiction novel, “Higgintooth”, Sas (Román Zaragoza), Pete (Richie Moriarty), and Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) find love interests, Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) discovers her ghost power, and, as I said, newbies arrive!

Yellowjackets Season 3

Our illustrious tale of a talented high school female volleyball team lost in the wilderness continues, and this season is somehow full of more shocking moments than previous seasons. We continue bouncing between the past and the present lives of our survivors as they struggle to stay alive and keep their secrets hidden. In season three of Yellowjackets, summer finally arrives, and the team faces the harsh realities of what they had to do to outlast the brutal winter.

This third season finds the teenage Yellowjackets facing a potential rescue, as well as an attempted thwart of said rescue. In the present-day timeline, the adult survivors continue to navigate the secrets of their past that embody their lingering trauma, and that leads to some intense, shocking confrontations and revelations. I dare say it’s the best season yet!

SkyMed Season 3

SkyMed season three continues the breath-holding story of the young nurses and pilots flying air ambulances over northern Canada. This newest season finds the crew trying to pick up the pieces after the events of season two. The stress of grieving while having to move on forces them to rely on each other more than ever as they face heart-pounding rescues, difficult goodbyes, and, of course, new romances.

As the crew struggle to adjust to life without their fallen team member, they each question themselves in different ways. Tension abounds in season three, not just because of the stress from that loss, but also because a film crew is following them. Moreover, Stef (Sydney Kuhne) and Chopper (Praneet Akilla) handle a tough call that requires them to break protocol.

Fire Country Season 3

Fire Country continues following Bode Donovan (Max Theriot) on his search for redemption as he and other inmates work to fight massive fires alongside elite firefighters in exchange for reduced sentences. Season three finds the former inmate trying to navigate his freedom after he is paroled.

As Bode faces the challenges of reintegrating into society, he struggles to establish himself as a firefighter. He also struggles with his family dynamics, particularly his relationship with the Leone family, as well as his evolving relationship with Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila). Season three finds her in grave danger from her stalker. It also delves into the complexities of the Three Rock camp and tackles the outbreak of dangerous underground zombie fires.

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 (Season 18)

So, don’t let that whole season three/season 18 thing throw you. The original Criminal Minds TV show concluded in 2020 after its 15th season. However, it was revived and renamed Criminal Minds: Evolution for its 16th season (technically its first season). It premiered on Paramount+ in late 2022.

Season three, also referred to as season 18 overall, premiered May 8 and features the series’ 350th episode (including the original run from 2005 to 2020). The show follows an elite team of FBI profilers in the Behavioral Analysis Unit as they analyze and track down the country’s most dangerous criminal minds.

This season, Elias Voit’s (Zach Gilford) serial killer network continues wreaking havoc across the country. As a result, the BAU is forced to collaborate with Voit to track them down. His dark web followers are the focus as the BAU works diligently to piece together the network’s structure and stop them from killing more people. Criminal Minds is clearly one of those amazing shows you need to watch now.

Tracker Season 2

In Tracker season two, Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) returns as a nomad survivalist and uses his tracking skills to locate missing people. After collecting his rewards, he rolls out in his RV, on to the next cases, all of which seem to lead him deeper into mysteries and force him to grapple with his fractured past while facing his own family issues.

Season two dives deep into Colter’s childhood and explores the mystery of his father’s death, which reveals jarring family secrets. As he investigates the disappearance of a diner owner from his hometown of Echo Ridge, Colter uncovers a child trafficking ring with deeper ties than he could’ve ever imagined. Who says family drama isn’t layered with complexities?

School Spirits Season 2

When high school senior Maddie Nears (Peyton List) wakes up as a spirit, she discovers she’s trapped in the afterlife at the one place none of us want to be: school. She’s unable to leave the grounds, so she enlists other trapped spirits to help her figure out how she died and why she can’t cross over. The more she investigates, the more secrets and lies she uncovers—like body snatchers.

School Spirits returns for season two to find Maddie navigating her ghost life while pursuing her effort to get her own body back. She also develops a romantic relationship with Wally (Milo Manheim), a ghost who also died at Split River High. As this plays out, Janet (Jess Gabor), the ghost who snatched Maddie’s body, tries returning to the school to reclaim her life. The new season two is just as full of surprises as season one, so buckle up.

Elsbeth Season 2

As a quirky, unconventional defense attorney, Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) works tightly alongside the NYPD to solve crimes in the Big Apple. A spin-off series of The Good Wife and The Good Fight, Elsbeth focuses on the keen observational skills the titular character uses to bring criminals to justice, while making her way through the complexities of the city and its residents.

Season 2 continues following Elsbeth’s journey as she navigates a mix of eccentric cases, personal relationships, and lingering consequences of past events. This season, her son Teddy shows up as Kaya puts some distance between herself and Elsbeth to pursue her own career path. It also features a jailhouse theatrical performance as the attorney faces off against the criminals she helped put behind bars. The series has firmly established itself as one of the most popular comfort shows during its run, so get comfortable and dive on in.

1923 Season 2

Taylor Sheridan hit 1923 wraps up its run with season two, and it was worth the wait. It was even worth the intentional delay experienced right up to the finale. The infamous Dutton family continues fighting to save their land and protect their beloved Yellowstone Ranch.

Season two is full of intensity, frustration, and the only kind of resolution one can hope for during such a time. As Cara (Helen Mirren) and Jacob (Harrison Ford) do what they can to stave off the literal and metaphorical wolves, Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) makes his way home while Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) fights her way across the world to reach Montana. The Dutton hierarchy is set, and the road to future generations is paved.
