SteelSeries just revealed the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless headset, boasting a comfortable fit, rapid charging for 9 hours of play in just 15 minutes, and a 30+ hour battery life. The somewhat-unique selling point here is unique audio profiles for specific games.
The Arctis app is made to make real-time audio adjustments, including over 200 game-specific sound presets made for popular titles like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Grand Theft Auto. These presets were developed with help from audio experts, esports players, and game developers. I can’t imagine what is so different about those games that different settings were needed, but it’s there if you want to use them. The Arctis app is free to download from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
A key highlight is its fast-charging ability, which gives up to nine hours of playtime after just 15 minutes of charging. This is a big improvement over most other headsets. It also has a long battery life, offering over 30 hours of use in 2.4 GHz wireless mode and over 40 hours in Bluetooth mode. This means you can play for long stretches without stopping.

SteelSeries Just Revamped Its Budget Gaming Mice
SteelSeries just released two new gaming mice: the Rival 3 Gen 2 and Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2. Both models are intended to provide “top-tier speed, all-new performance, and durability” without breaking the bank. The two mice have a similar design with six buttons, a symmetrical shape, ABS plastic construction, and 100% PTFE feet for smooth and consistent cursor movements. The wired model has an 8,500 DPI sensor, while the wireless model has a more accurate 18,000 DPI sensor with 400 IPS that was “developed in partnership with PixArt.” Both mice should be great options for productivity and typical PC gaming, but the wireless model goes even further.
The QuickSwitch feature makes it easy to switch between high-speed 2.4 GHz wireless for gaming and Bluetooth 5.3 for mobile devices, with separate sound settings for each mode. You can still see call notifications even when gaming in 2.4 GHz mode.
Sound quality is a major focus, which is good because this is a headset. The custom Nova Speaker Drivers give deep bass and clear details. The headset supports 360-degree Spatial Audio, working perfectly with Tempest 3D Audio for PS5 and Microsoft Spatial Sound, creating a realistic sound environment that makes games sound better.
Beyond great sound, the Arctis Nova 3 Wireless is built for comfort and durability. It weighs 260 grams and has a stretchy fabric headband with adjustable arms to evenly distribute pressure, making it comfortable for long gaming sessions. The removable ear cushions use breathable memory foam to reduce heat, which is great because that’s the worst part of having headphones.
Another strong feature is its cross-platform compatibility, working with Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PC, Meta Quest, and mobile devices with USB-C connections. If you didn’t know, that’s a bigger part of using headphones on those consoles; for some reason, not everything works great all the time, but that’s not an issue here.
The Arctis Nova 3 Wireless headset costs $109.99 on the official website, with different options depending on whether you want a 3X or 3P and colors, but the costs are all the same.
