Persona 4, the title where the now astonishingly popular Shin Megami Tensei sub-series initially begin fully building up the momentum that led to where it is now, has had it’s long-rumored remake officially announced.
In Persona 4 Revival, assuming an interest in revisiting, Yu Narukami, the Persona 4 protagonist’s official name, takes a trip to the lovely rural town of Inaba to visit his uncle Ryotaro Dojima, and his adorable cousin Nanako. Shortly thereafter, the apparently supernatural murder of a television announcer, a ms Mayumi Tamano, is found dead, hanging upside down from a telephone pole. If you’ve played the original, or Persona 4 Golden, the remake that came out in 2012, you know this already, however.
The question is, what’s new. That, our friend, is still a mystery in itself, however. Currently, all that’s known is that the graphics have been updated, but considering Persona 3 Reloaded and Persona 5 Royal, there’ll be more to be announced in time.
There is presently no timeframe for the Revival‘s release. It will be on all current Xbox platforms, PS5 and PC.
