Silent Hill f, the iteration of the series being developed by renowned visual novelist Ryukishi07, of Umineko fame, has had its release date formally announced, and a new three-minute long trailer along with it. This contributor suspects you don’t want to them to reiterate what they went on about for too long three months ago, so we’ll skip to the chase here.
The recent State of Play trailer looks to delve more into the circumstances of Shimizu Hinako’s visit to her hometown of Ebisugaoka, and some of the people… and creatures… that Hinako will encounter in her homecoming, but not that Silent Hill Homecoming, do not worry. The trailer shows a bit more of the more combat focused portions of SHf, and bits and pieces of what relationships she had before the events of this return. It looks interesting, in this contributor’s eyes, and closer to the Fatal Frame and Dreadout side of the psychological horror spectrum, than certain pre-Silent Hill 2 remake turns for the formerly embattled series.
Silent Hill f releases later this year on September 25, 2025, and releases on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
