Suda 51, one of the greatest gaming minds of the modern era, and his team at Grasshopper Manufacture, in their typical fashion, announced a brand new title at the recent State of Play.
Romeo is a Dead Man starts at the family dinner table, your average looking family sitting and eating dinner. The man at the head of the table answers the front door, a rough “ugh” is heard and it rapidly heads downhill from there for the poor (Dead) Man.
It looks to be – well, typical is not a word I will ever willingly use for a Grasshopper work, considering it’s creator’s previous outings- as interesting and more than a tad disturbing as ever for Suda. There’s no publicly known story as of yet, and this contributor knows better than to assumption they know where a Suda story is heading. The gameplay would appear to be as violent, frenetic, and, presumably, immensely enjoyable as ever, and the world looks to be dark, but never dreary as per Let It Die, Shadows of the Damned, the No More Heroes franchise, The Silver Case/The 25th Ward and his other work.
There is no current release date, other than it being announced for sometime next year. It’s currently releasing for PS5, Xbox Series S and X, PC generally.
