Microsoft has been steadily releasing its first-party Xbox games on PS5 for a bit now. What seemed impossible last year is now a reality, as games like Forza Horizon 5 and Gears of War are on a PlayStation console for the first time in history. A new rumor suggests Microsoft will continue this steady stream of game releases with Starfield soon.
What is the Starfield PS5 release date window rumor?
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), notable insider NateTheHate claims the Starfield PS5 release will be announced this year. A specific window for this announcement is not known, but they also speculate that the gap between the announcement and the release will be minimal.
This rumor comes shortly after the announcement of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2‘s arrival on the PS5. NateTheHate had made claims about this game coming to the PlayStation platform in the past, but it finally came to fruition in an official reveal from the developer. It will be available this summer and will be PS5 Pro Enhanced.
While there have been plenty of rumors regarding a Starfield PS5 release, a recent leak may have confirmed its release on PlayStation’s console. Back in March, the PlayStation logo appeared on a mod found on the official Starfield mod page. However, the page was taken down shortly after people began noticing.
Considering all the Xbox releases and announcements that have happened in the past year, it really would not be surprising if Starfield found its way on PS5. Games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Age of Mythology Retold, and Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition are already available on the console. It is only a matter of time until players can finish the Master Chief’s fight in Halo on a PlayStation console.
