Revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase, Frontier Entertainment will be releasing a new chapter in the Plague Tale series next year. Despite the game being unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will also release on PlayStation 5, with a simultaneous release date.
Resonance is a prequel to the previous Plague Tale games, set 15 years before the events of Requiem. Players will take on the role of young plunderer Sophia as she uncovers the secrets of her past. Set on Minotaur Island, Sophia will need to conquer the island’s trials and puzzles to defeat it, and possibly encounter a creature of myth along the way.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is being developed by Focus Entertainment and will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC next year. At the time of writing, no exact release date has been confirmed.
