As many players feared when NetherRealm dropped Mortal Kombat 1: Definitive Edition on May 14, the support for the fighting game would cease, and a recent X post confirms that.
Acknowledging players’ requests for continued game support, the studio has confirmed that the game will receive no further DLC characters or story chapters from this point onwards. They did confirm that they would continue to deliver updates addressing bug fixes and balance adjustments.
The post goes on to explain that the team at NetherRealm decided to end support for the game in order to shift their focus onto their upcoming project and ensure its quality can be as great as possible.
