Joint European Drone Association (JEDA) Hosts Annual General Assembly in Zadar, Croatia – sUAS News


The Joint European Drone Association (JEDA) successfully held its Annual General Assembly on June 6th in Zadar, Croatia, bringing together key representatives from across Europe’s drone ecosystem.

The event welcomed members from national drone associations from Ireland, Bulgaria, Austria, Croa9a, Belgium, Finland, Lithuania, Sweden, Latvia, the Netherlands, Estonia, Italy, Denmark, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Romania and France, highlighting the growing collaboration within the sector.
Guest speakers at the assembly included:

  • Damir Bezik, Croatian Civil Aviation Agency (CCAA) – who provided a
    comprehensive overview of the current state of drone operations and regulations in
    Croatia.
  • Ranko Vuica, Croatian Control Ltd. – who presented developments in U-space
    and the AMC Portal as part of Croatia’s air navigation services.
  • Natale di Rubbo, EASA – Updating member states with the ongoing regulations developments.
  • Phil Kenul, ASTM International.

During the Assembly, the JEDA Executive Board voted to welcome new member associations from Sweden, Poland, and Denmark, expanding its reach and strengthening the pan-European dialogue on drone integration and innovation.

A notable highlight of the event was the Signature Ceremony between JEDA and the European Aerospace Science Network (EASN), marking a significant step toward deeper collaboration between industry and research institutions in the aerospace and drone sectors.

JEDA remains committed to fostering a unified European voice for the drone industry, advancing safe integration into airspace, and promoting technological development and regulatory harmonization across member states.
