All the Best PC Games Coming Out in June 2025

While June isn’t typically a month that PC gamers associate with high-profile game releases, this year’s lineup holds a few big arrivals across different genres: action-adventures, MMORPGs, soccer, horror, and more.

The expansive sci-fi world of Dune: Awakening leads the charge, with its high-budget survival open-world gameplay. Other titles include an action-adventure from an ex-Rockstar team, an exciting new Five Nights at Freddy’s game, and a Control spin-off—this month’s releases are packed with content for every gamer’s taste. Let’s dive into this month’s biggest PC releases!

Dune: Awakening

Release Date: June 10, 2025

Dune: Awakening is the long-awaited open-world survival MMORPG based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 science fiction novel, and it’s no coincidence that it’s coming out a few years after the smash-hit success of the 2021 Dune movie. While both the game and movie are set on the same desert planet of Arrakis and have many similarities, the stories are not related. Still, if you loved the 2021 Dune (or Lynch’s 1984 version), this game is definitely worth checking out.

Dune: Awakening was developed by Funcom, the team behind Conan Exiles, Aloft, and my favorite FPS rhythm game, Metal: Hellsinger, so hopefully the quality of this game is on par with the team’s previous successful projects. As with any other MMORPG, expect a mix of PvP and PvE combat, faction-based events, lots of resource gathering, and addictive base-building mechanics. Prepare for epic spice wars and the enormous sandworms roaming Arrakis when the game launches on June 10th.

MindsEye

Release Date: June 10, 2025

MindsEye is an upcoming game from ex-Rockstar North developers who worked on GTA games. Ever since the failure of Watch Dogs: Legion and the Saints Row reboot, we haven’t seen any “GTA clones” (i.e., open-world games set in a modern universe), so I was excited to see a new game in the genre. Technically, MindsEye is a semi-open world, but the city of RedRock (based on the city of Las Vegas) still looks impressive.

You play as Jacob Diaz, who wears a neural implant called the “Mind’s Eye,” which is responsible for the character’s memory loss—kind of sounds like the plot of Cyberpunk 2077. The gameplay trailer looks visually impressive, but fair warning: there’s already skepticism around the game.

Concerns include the possibility of AI-generated voiceovers and scripts in the trailer, which raised some eyebrows. It’s best to take the early criticism with a grain of salt and reserve judgment until the game is out and we have a chance to see impartial reviews before deciding. In other words, don’t pre-order it.

Stellar Blade

Release Date: June 12, 2025

Stellar Blade is a 2024 PS5 game developed by the South Korean team Shift Up. The game is part of Sony’s efforts to publish all of their best exclusives on PC as well, and we’re all better off for it. Ironically, the PC port will be the best way to play this game, as the potentially more powerful hardware allows for a few improvements, like high-resolution textures and phenomenal performance thanks to upscaling and frame generation.

Stellar Blade is a third-party action-adventure that follows Eve, a skilled warrior sent to reclaim a post-apocalyptic Earth that’s overrun by monsters and rogue AI robots. The game emphasizes fast-paced combat, similar to that of a hack-and-slash game, so it’s best enjoyed with a controller.

The Alters

The Alters is a new survival action-adventure game by the independent Polish studio 11 bit studios. The game’s concept is completely unique—you play as Jan Dolski, the sole survivor of a space mission. The only way to progress the narrative is to simulate alternate versions of Jan using a quantum computer. They share some similarities and memories but have unique skills and traits that pertain to their job descriptions, e.g., engineer, doctor, and botanist.

You constantly switch between Jan and the Alters to complete various tasks, explore the planet to gather resources, and make crucial decisions that will make or break your escape from the planet.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic

The Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise has grown exponentially since its humble beginnings as a point-and-click horror game. In its latest entry, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, the gameplay has shifted far from its roots, aside from some puzzle elements. It’s a 3D adventure horror game similar to Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, which has stealth and exploration at its core.

This game will expand the FNAF universe with a new story, mysteries, and a terrifying new monster that can change costumes at a whim—the Mimic. Your job is to go to Edwin’s Costume Manor to retrieve it, but, of course, it’s not as simple as it sounds. The Mimic has come alive and will haunt you while you’re trying to piece the story together. Fittingly releasing on Friday the 13th, the entry promises a horrifying evening of tension and jump scares blended with stealth gameplay.

FBC: Firebreak

Release Date: June 17, 2025

Remedy is a studio best known for its eerie sci-fi games filled with paranormal threats, namely Alan Wake and Control. After the success of Alan Wake 2, it’s exciting to see Remedy make a return to the Control universe, albeit its taking a completely unexpected turn—you’ll be taking on rogue sticky notes and the Hiss in the Oldest House after the events of Control, along with two other friends in a multiplayer FPS co-op: FBC: Firebreak.

FBC: Firebreak‘s gameplay reminds me a lot of Left 4 Dead 2, as you’re constantly battling hordes of enemies and bosses, all while focusing on certain tasks to progress. It’s worth mentioning that the game already has additional content planned, but it won’t be in the form of live service like so many other games, and it won’t include FOMO elements like a battle pass and daily check-ins, either.

Disney TRON: Catalyst

Disney is finally making a long-awaited return to the TRON franchise with a new movie, TRON: Ares, set to release in October 2025. More importantly for us gamers, we’re also getting a brand-new PC game: Disney TRON: Catalyst. It’s a top-down action adventure game featuring an original story written by the studio.

Gameplay highlights include a mix of smooth melee and ranged combat, powerful unlockable skills, and, of course, the iconic light cycles. The gameplay looks like it’ll deliver pretty much everything you’d expect from a game set in the TRON universe.

REMATCH

Release Date: June 19, 2025

The world’s most popular sport has surprisingly few games. Aside from Rocket League, EA Sports FC (previously FIFA), eFootball, and a few other titles, there’s little variety in soccer (football) games. That’s why it’s so exciting to see a fresh new take on the sport in the form of REMATCH.

This is an unlicensed arcade-style take on the sport, so it’s not going to appeal to hardcore soccer fans or compete with the more realistic entries. Instead, REMATCH primarily focuses on street-style soccer in the form of 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5 multiplayer matches with a focus on fun, much like Rocket League, but with actual people instead of cars. Unlike Rocket League, REMATCH isn’t free-to-play; however, this also means it could provide a more premium experience with fewer microtransactions and better quality overall.

The game is currently in early access with an official release planned for June 19. Early impressions have been very positive, so REMATCH has a good chance to carve out a niche in this large yet underdeveloped corner of the sports game market.

BitCraft Online

Release Date: June 20, 2025

BitCraft Online is an ambitious MMORPG where the primary focus is on base-building. The cool thing here is that this is a “true single-world” game, meaning there’s a single map that all players are on simultaneously. Normally, these kinds of games have servers with up to several hundred players (like Minecraft), but this social game’s ambition is to create one true world where players across the globe will have to band together.

From the trailers, it’s still a bit unclear what the core objectives or gameplay loops are, but we do know one thing: nothing on the map is generated. That’s right—every single house, village, and city is completely player-generated, presumably even the impressive settlements featured in the trailer. This player-driven sandbox has a lot of potential, and I can’t wait to see what this world shaped by creative players will look like in the near future.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster

Twenty-five years after the original release of System Shock 2, this genre-defining horror game is finally getting a well-deserved remaster with System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster. The remaster stays true to the game’s original charm and aesthetics, with updated models and textures that preserve the game’s iconic look—it’s less of a reimagining like the recent Oblivion Remaster and more of an upgrade, in line with “how we remember” it looked like.

As in the original, you wake up aboard the Von Braun spaceship that’s now overrun by monsters and robots. Your mission is to stop the ship’s rogue AI, SHODAN, from exterminating humankind before it’s too late. Whether you’re stepping into it for the first time or returning to the beloved classic, check out this amazing space horror game.
