Inspired by the true story of Komsan Lee, CEO and founder of Flash Express, Mad Unicorn is a Thai limited miniseries that follows the story of Santi, an ambitious entrepreneur born into poverty who develops his startup into the first unicorn in Thailand. His idea for an express delivery business is stolen by a business tycoon he initially trusts. Still, after teaming up with a financier and a coding expert, Santi successfully breaks new ground with his company, Thunder Express. Success comes with its fair share of tribulations as Santi battles the business tycoon’s wrath, along with the struggles of launching a unicorn.

Mad Unicorn garnered views from over 1.6 million households within a week of its release. After positive reviews flooding in since its release, Netflix is banking on the show’s success to attract more viewers for Thai productions.

Sirens

Looking for a short weekend binge? Try Sirens, Netflix’s new limited series that was the most viewed English series on the platform during its release week. This dark comedy thriller, featuring Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, Kevin Bacon, and Milly Alcock, follows the story of Devon (Fahy), a scrappy woman who is concerned about her sister Simone’s (Alcock) relationship with her billionaire boss, Michaela (Moore). Devon stumbles into the extravagant world of Michaela’s island and tries to reconnect with her younger sister while coping with the cult-like environment she finds herself in.

Secrets We Keep

If you’re looking for a miniseries, Netflix has you spoiled for choice with its recent release of limited-run dramas. Secrets We Keep is an unsettling Danish mystery limited series that follows Cecile, a wealthy woman married to a well-to-do lawyer. Her lavish lifestyle includes an au pair, like her neighbors, but Cecile deems herself a more polite and generous employer than her counterparts. The plot thickens when Ruby Tan, a Filipino au pair to one of Cecile’s neighbors, goes missing. Cecile takes the lead on finding Ruby and uncovers chilling truths that threaten to shatter her perfect world.

Directed by Scott Frank (The Queen’s Gambit), Dept. Q is a Scottish crime thriller based on the Danish Nordic noir book series by Jussi Alder-Olsen. While coping with a personal tragedy, Detective Inspector Carl Morck (Downton Abbey‘s Matthew Goode) is tasked with a new responsibility: being at the helm of a new department for the Scottish police that tackles cold cases.

While there has been no announcement about a second season from Netflix, fans and critics alike are hoping for a renewal for the crime thriller.

The Eternaut

Looking for a dose of science fiction? Netflix has you covered with The Eternaut, an Argentine sci-fi series based on the comic of the same name. Set in Buenos Aires, a tragedy occurs when a mysterious snowfall wipes out most of the population over the course of one night. The few thousand survivors, who include the protagonist Juan Salvo and his friends, have to cope with the aftermath of this disaster while preparing themselves for a larger extraterrestrial attack.

Blood of Zeus: Season 3

The final installment of the adult animation fantasy series, Blood of Zeus, is finally here! While it was initially outlined as a five-part series, the show has come to an end.
